Burn in the grips…
I (carefully) use a piece of aluminum wire to burn the hand grips.

Fresh off the lathe…

Finished product…
The ends were sanded with a 12″ circular sander. I use cotton wood polishing wheels on the slow-speed grinder to polish most of my finished wood projects.
